Marina Frapa has been voted to be "the worlds' best marina" in 2006 among marinas from 60 countries. Interesting, after being voted to be "the best marina in the Adriatic" for 6 consecutive years, last year it hasn't been even nominated, but the title from Madrid gave satisfaction to Mr. Franjo Pašalić, marina Frapa owner and GM, for this failure from Croatian National Board.

"....a golden spot in the Croatian Adriatic, the starting point for the most beautiful meetings and voyages you can sail in, dock, sail out and, we hope, return…"

Vicinity of "Marina Frapa" ensures high rental potential for "Marina Apartments Rogoznica" owners. Beign one of the most luxurious marinas in Croatia, it atracts wealthy nautical clientele throughout the year to Rogoznica. Thousands of tourists are coming in and out of Rogoznica every day, as the area is well known among forigners for beautifull beaches, fine restaurants and many entertainment events throughout the year, although, of course, the peak of the season is from end of May untill middle of October.

Only 25 kilometers from "Marina Apartments Rogoznica" is Split International Airport, with daily flights to many European cities.

Another great feature of "Marina Apartments Rogoznica" is vicinity of Kornati islands, the largest and densest archipelago in the Adriatic Sea.

"On the last day of the Creation God desired to crown his work, and thus created the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath" - wrote George Bernard Shaw…

The Kornati archipelago consists of 140 islands, islets and cliffs, with 89 of them declared a National Park because of its natural beauty due to its numerous coves and crystal clear blue waters. It spreads over a surface of 220m2 and declared a national park in 1980 due to its unique shape and beauty. There are no permanent residents of the islands and most of the area belongs to the people of Murter island who come to tend the olive groves, the vineyards and orchards. They have cottages there, which nowdays mostly are offered as tourist accommodation units, specialized for robinson style holidays (self cattering houses with no electic power and running water).

On Kornati there are preserved traces of the past, the oldest archaeological findings of ruins from an Illyric village, stone graves and grave mounds.

The renowned Kornati "crown" (steep or sheer rock) which faces the open sea, a characteristic found on all of the islands, is of distinct eminence and value in this region. Inlets which stand out due to their magnificent beauty are by far Koromacna, Opat, Stiniva, Striznja, Sipnata, and Lopatica.

In the National Park Kornati there are around 30 piers and about 20 places where guests can try wonderful seafood and traditional cuisine.

In the summer season the Tourist Association of Rogoznica organices a series of events, with the traditional Rogoznica Fishermen Evening being the central event.

The Gradina peninsula is also the site of the lake of Zmajevo oko, with sea water.
The lake is of irregular oval shape ( 150 by 70 meters ), with an area of 5.300 sq meters, and maximum depth of 15 meters. The lake is considered to be a natural bioreactor with intesive biochemical processes taking place there. Close by this geohydromorphological phenomen, in the cove of Soline, there is Marina Frapa, a high-class marina with 400 berths and numerous facilities.

The parish church and the spire dominate the settlement. The orginal parish church was consecrated by the bishop Arrigoni on May 11. 1615. but the church was extended in 1683, and was dedictated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Man has lived in the area since prehistoric times. Many archeologists think that the Greek colony of Heraclea was located in the area.

On the tip of the peninsula of Gradina is a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Chapel patronne of the Rogoznica people and harbour since 1722. This is connected to the legend about the miraculous painting found by the fisherman Ivan M. Bogovčić Tumburko, and to the church holiday which has been observed since 1887, when there was a smallpox epidemic in Rogoznica.
